We value friendship at Rose City Church. We recognize the wonderful diversity of God's kingdom. It is our desire to join with God and our neighbors in the work of the Holy Spirit, who is way ahead of us. We are called to do this by making friends with all who share a common mission for expanding God's kingdom. Thus, at Rose City we GO forth each week to partner with others.
Please visit our Partnership page to see all the organizations that we work with.
We have also developed two of our own partnerships with the students of Pasadena City College and Rose City Coffee:
PASADENA CITY COLLEGE
We understand that fellowship over food develops a deep intimacy between the individuals that share this experience. This belief serves as our foundation in reaching out to college students through food.
Our Pasadena City College Student Outreach seeks to create a space for reconciling relationship between students and the church. We believe that serving a healthy and affordable meal to students not only fosters community, but also provides an opportunity to encounter Christ. Thus we serve a popular $2 dish of Korean BBQ consisting of beef or chicken, rice, and vegetables.
In partnership with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF), our outreach is every Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Hosted in the cafe area at the church, we help IVCF meet new students, develop community, and disciple others. We invite you to come and fellowship with us over a bowl of Korean BBQ. If you are interested in volunteering or helping in other ways, please contact us for more details.
ROSE CITY COFFEE
We craft coffee, community, and change.
Rose City Coffee exists to provide homeless and transitional aged youth not only with jobs but also with a passion for work to take to a permanent employer. We have sought out partners who care for homeless youth who can connect us with those in need of employment. Our head barista trains these youth in the craft of coffee and the art of hospitality to prepare them for a better future.
